I got inspired during my business travels and because of my love for lobsters to research if such a book has been ever done and when I found out it hadn’t, it became clear to me that it will be my new task over the next several years. The goal for the book to be on the shelves is August 2026.
I am about halfway done travelling to more than 20 countries to capture these fascinating creatures on the camera and - well also for the plate.
Cuba, New Zealand, Zanzibar, Maine, Newfoundland and more have been already part of my intense research on history, breeding, dangers, distribution and developing recipes as well.
Scotland, France, Japan and many more to come – I am excited!
I am a photographer from Austria and former successful cooking school owner on a new mission – to inform, present unknown facts and show new ways to enjoy this gift of nature.
Being now half through my work and quite happy with the outcome so far – I would like to invite some of you out there in the lobster world or kitchens to contact me with more information or ways to cooperate. If you want to share family traditions with me or special places where to indulge in lobster dishes or even recipes (your names will be displayed if used in the book) – I am happy to hear from you!
If you have products to be included in the recommendation chapter, I am happy to buy and test them.
